Investigations of Non-compliance - Continue
If the IACUC votes to suspend the protocol, the Chair is empowered to establish a subcommittee of the IACUC to investigate the allegations of noncompliance. The Chair will appoint a member to chair the subcommittee and lead the investigation. The subcommittee will report back to the IACUC when they finish their work.
Dr. Fox, the investigating subcommittee chair, organizes a preliminary meeting to decide on the course of the investigation. Dr. Fox reminds the subcommittee that the proceedings of the subcommittee are confidential and that the issues should not be discussed outside the committee.
